This apartment is a hidden gem in one of Beirut’s most luxurious residential towers.
However, this restrictive box had to go through a deconstructive metamorphosis. RB tilted the walls, abolished 90 degree angles, and redefined Verticality.
Using traditional techniques and finishes such as eglomised glass, gilded brass, white translucent Onyx, chrome, shellac and wood-block flooring, the interior was designed to induce a poetic yet modern oriental feel. The False ceiling was shaved in a way to invite the light in and optimize the stunning Mediterranean view. You can taste the Orient in every detail, smell its breath on every corner. Here and there, the mother of pearl will catch your eye. A certain contemporary oriental vanity mimics the “movement of the waves in our Mediterranean sea” and the reflected light inside the apartment whisks you away to the “magical Orient that fills our veins” exhales RB.
